Single-Layer Sheet Extrusion Line
It runs with one extruder and one single material throughout the sheet. Low investment, simple control, fast color and material changeover, minimal maintenance. Great for basic PP, PET, HIPS, PVC blister and packaging sheets with standard requirements.
Downside:
The whole sheet must use the same resin. If you need weather resistance or high gloss, you have to use expensive premium material for the entire sheet. No cost optimization, limited product performance.
Multi-Layer Co-Extrusion Sheet Line (ABA / ABC / 5-layer)
Several extruders feed different materials into one shared die to form composite sheets. Only the thin skin layers use high-performance material like ASA, while the core layer can adopt cheaper or recycled resin. You get UV resistance, surface gloss, scratch resistance and barrier features at a much lower raw material cost. It is the ideal choice for outdoor roofing sheets, decorative panels and high-end packaging sheets.
Downside:
Higher initial machine investment. Production needs precise speed, temperature and pressure synchronization, requiring more experienced operators.
