The haul-off unit on a PVC pipe extrusion line is a critical piece of equipment that uses belts or rollers to grip and pull the pipe-which has just been extruded from the die and is still in a softened state-providing it with stable, continuous traction; Its core function is to control the pipe's travel speed and precisely match it to the extrusion speed, thereby ensuring uniform wall thickness and accurate dimensions, as well as preventing deformation caused by sagging or accumulation due to gravity during the cooling and shaping process, ultimately ensuring the product's straightness and surface quality.
In addition, the pulling unit is equipped with a pneumatic or hydraulic clamping system that automatically adjusts the clamping force according to the pipe diameter to accommodate production of different specifications. For high-speed or large-diameter production lines, a multi-track (such as four-claw or six-claw) evenly distributed design is also employed to ensure more uniform force distribution and prevent pipe deflection. During daily operations, operators must fine-tune the traction speed in response to fluctuations in pipe wall thickness and regularly inspect the tension of the tracks, clamping pressure, and wear on transmission components to ensure long-term stable operation.
