How To Install A PE Gas Pipe Manufacturing Machine

Step 1: Thorough Preparation Before Installation
Site and Environment: Select a dry, well-ventilated facility with a level, solid floor, and ensure sufficient space is reserved for operation and maintenance.

Preparation of Technical Documentation: Request detailed installation drawings from the equipment manufacturer, including the external dimensions of the main and auxiliary units, foundation bolt locations, and the positions of water, electricity, and gas connections.

Unpacking and Inspection: Unpack the equipment in the presence of multiple witnesses. Verify all components and tools against the packing list, and inspect the equipment for any damage, such as dents or rust, incurred during transportation.

Personnel and Foundation: Installation personnel must be professionally trained. Pour a concrete foundation and embed anchor bolts according to the equipment specifications. Proceed to the next step only after the foundation has cured to the required standard and been leveled (typically requiring a levelness of within 0.5 mm/m).

Step 2: Rigorous and Meticulous Installation Process
Equipment Positioning and Alignment: Use a forklift or crane to lift the equipment (extruder, sizing tank, haul-off unit, etc.) into place. Adjust the level and center height to ensure precise alignment with the predetermined reference lines.

Mechanical Component Assembly:

Extruder Assembly: Follow the "inside-out" principle by first installing the screw assembly and checking the clearance. Then install the barrel and hopper, ensuring proper sealing.

Die Installation: Before installing the die head, carefully inspect and clean the flow channels. Ensure the die and core are concentric and that the flange connections are uniformly tightened. Heating rings must fit snugly against the outer wall of the die head, leaving no gaps.

Auxiliary Equipment Installation: Connect the feeder, vacuum sizing tank, spray tank, take-up unit, and cutter, ensuring that the centerlines of all equipment are aligned on a single straight line.

Electrical and Piping Connections:

Electrical System: Connect the main power supply (typically AC 380V/50Hz), control system wiring, and safety grounding wire. All cables must be routed through cable trays for protection and must not come into contact with high-temperature components.

Fluid Piping: Connect the water supply (cooling), air supply (compressed air), and drain lines, and verify that they are unobstructed and free of leaks.

Step 3: Power-Up, Commissioning, and No-Load Test Run
Lubrication and Inspection: Fill with the specified grade of lubricating oil or grease, and inspect all fasteners.

Power-Up and Preheating: Close the circuit to energize the system. Begin by preheating the main unit and mold in stages, gradually increasing the temperature to the set processing temperature. The first startup must be performed only after preheating is complete and the system has been held at temperature for at least 30 minutes.

No-Load Test Run: Start the screw at low speed. Observe the motor current and check whether the screw rotates smoothly and if there are any unusual noises. After running no-load for a period of time (e.g., 2 hours) and confirming that all components are functioning normally, proceed to the next step.

Step 4: Coordinating Trial Production and Full-Scale Production
Material Feed and Machine Testing: First, add a small amount of material and extrude at low speed to observe whether the output is uniform and the plasticization is adequate, and inspect the pipe dimensions and appearance.

Parameter Fine-Tuning: Based on the output and pipe quality, fine-tune the heating temperature, screw speed, haul-off speed, and cooling efficiency until qualified products are produced.

Final Acceptance: Once trial production has stabilized, conduct acceptance testing in accordance with the contract and technical standards, compile the relevant documentation, and hand over the project.

The installation of a PE gas pipeline manufacturing machine is a systematic project; we recommend maintaining close communication with the equipment supplier throughout the entire process.
