Main Production Process
1. Raw Material Feeding
Different raw materials are loaded into separate extruders.
Common materials include:
- PP-R
- PP-B
- Glass fiber reinforced PP
- Adhesive layers
- Recycled inner core materials
Each layer has its own function, such as strength, heat resistance, or cost reduction.
2. Plasticizing and Extrusion
The PP pipe extruders heat and melt the raw materials through screws and barrels.
The molten materials are transported steadily to the extrusion die.
Key points:
- Stable temperature control
- Stable extrusion pressure
- Uniform melt flow
These factors directly affect pipe quality and layer bonding.
3. Co-Extrusion Through the Die Head
The melted materials enter a special multilayer die head.
Inside the die:
- Different material layers combine together
- The layers form one complete pipe structure
- Layer thickness can be adjusted according to customer requirements
Common structures:
- 2-layer PP pipe
- 3-layer PP pipe
- Fiber reinforced multilayer pipe
4. Vacuum Calibration and Cooling
After leaving the die head, the pipe enters the vacuum calibration tank.
Functions:
- Maintain accurate pipe diameter
- Improve roundness
- Prevent deformation
The pipe is then cooled by water spray tanks.
5. Haul-Off and Cutting
The haul-off machine pulls the pipe forward at a stable speed.
The cutter automatically cuts pipes to the required length.
Stable synchronization between extrusion speed and pulling speed is very important.
