1.Classic Ribbed Frame Structure

Consists of two upper and lower plastic panels connected by internal vertical or inclined ribs, forming an "I-beam"-like grid (grid shapes can be rectangular, triangular, etc.).Structural Basis: The most common and cost-effective structure, which effectively transfers and distributes stress through ribs. 2.Multi-layer Honeycomb Hollow Structure

Composed of multiple layers (e.g., two, three, or four layers) of panels arranged in parallel, with dense vertical spacers supporting between each layer to form multiple parallel hollow chambers, resulting in a honeycomb-like cross-section.Superior Performance: Under the premise of lightweight design, it provides excellent compressive and flexural strength, along with outstanding thermal and sound insulation properties. Commonly used in high-end building lighting (PC hollow polycarbonate sheets) and decorative partitions.

 

3.Composite Sandwich/Support Structure

Rather than a simple hollow structure, it involves integrating other functional interlayers between two or more substrate layers, such as shock-absorbing layers and three-dimensional support layers with specific concave-convex shapes.Function-Oriented Design: The structure directly serves specific functions (e.g., buffering and enhancing lateral load-bearing capacity). It is used in the packaging of precision instruments requiring high protection, special building panels, etc.

 

4.Overall Construction Dimensions Beyond the Cross-Section

Structure-Function Integrated Design: This is the core of modern design, referring to optimizing the structure while directly imparting or enhancing the mechanical, thermal, acoustic, and other properties of the sheet. For example, the unique rib arrangement designed through topology optimization algorithms can simultaneously achieve significant improvements in lightweight performance and impact resistance (studies have shown that the flexural performance of the new structure can be increased by more than 60%).

Multi-layer Material Composite Construction: The sheet can be composed of different material layers.
