Introduction
PP hollow slab (also named PP corrugated sheet / PP hollow board) is widely used in packaging, advertising, agriculture and construction. The extrusion process determines the flatness, wall thickness and overall strength of finished sheets.
📋 Main Production Steps
Raw Material Feeding & Mixing PP pellets are fed into the hopper. Customers can add masterbatch for color, anti-static agent or UV stabilizer according to application needs. All materials get evenly mixed before entering the extruder.
Melting & Plasticization The twin-screw extruder heats and kneads PP pellets. Solid plastic melts into uniform molten PP under controlled temperature and pressure.
Die Head Forming Molten plastic flows through a special die. The die shapes the unique twin-wall hollow structure of PP hollow slab, forming the outer layers and middle ribs in one step.
Calibration & Cooling The extruded hot sheet goes into vacuum calibration table. Constant cooling fixes the hollow shape, preventing deformation and warping.
Traction Traction unit pulls the sheet forward at stable speed. Speed control directly affects sheet thickness and surface quality.
Cutting & Stacking The continuous sheet is cut to required length by cutting machine. Finished PP hollow slabs are stacked for inspection and packing.
