Carbon Fiber Reinforced PE Pipe: Manufacturing Guide

Carbon Fiber Reinforced PE Pipe (CF-PE Pipe) is a high-performance composite pipeline, made of HDPE base material and carbon fiber reinforcement. It features high pressure resistance, high ring stiffness and anti-corrosion, widely used in water supply, chemical and mining transportation.

 

1. Raw Material Selection Standard

Qualified raw materials are the premise of stable pipe quality. The matched formula is shown in the table below:

2. Standard Manufacturing Process

The industrial mass production of CF-PE pipe adopts mature co-extrusion process, with simple and standardized steps:

Step 1: Uniform Mixing Mix HDPE particles, carbon fiber and additives evenly by high-speed mixer to avoid fiber agglomeration.

Step 2: Composite Pelletizing (Optional) Twin-screw extruder compounds raw materials into uniform composite pellets for more stable extrusion.

Step 3: Multi-layer Co-extrusion Adopt JBD professional die to realize three-layer structure: outer protective HDPE layer, middle carbon fiber reinforced layer, inner smooth HDPE layer.

Step 4: Calibration & Cooling Vacuum calibration tank fixes pipe diameter, and gradient water cooling eliminates internal stress and deformation.

Step 5: Haul-off & Cutting Match extrusion speed stably, and cut pipes into fixed specifications.

Step 6: Inspection & Packaging Test pipe stiffness, pressure resistance and appearance, pack qualified products.
